What do you have to prove in a personal injury case?

Most personal injury cases are based on a claim of negligence. You must prove that the at-fault party owed you a duty of care and acted in a way that harmed that duty. You must also show that the breach of the duty of care caused your injury and resulted in the damages you suffered.
